Coleslaw

Serves Approximately 6

​

Salad:

3 cups of cabbage finely sliced

1/2 cup red radish cut matchstick

Himalayan or sea salt 

1/2+ cup raisins

1 carrot spirals or cut as thin matchsticks

4 scallions sliced thinly

1/2 cup dried NingXia Wolfberry (optional)

Black pepper

Dressing:

1/2 cup lemon juice

2 tablespoon maple syrup

2 tablespoons of Tamari or Shoyu 

5 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

2-3 Drops Black Pepper Essential Oil

2 tablespoons of olive oil

#5617 Black Pepper Vitality Oil

​Directions

Prep & cut Coleslaw ingredients. In a small bowl mix together the dressing.

Pace half of the cabbage in a large bowl and add half of the radishes, carrots, scallions, and raisins.

Add half of the dressing mixture to the cabbage bowl; toss well. Add pinch of salt.

Add the rest of the ingredients and the remainder of the dressing. Toss well and add a pinch of salt. 

​

Let the salad sit for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to marry. 

​

Before serving, mix well and top with black pepper. 

Tips:

  • Red cabbage can be used or mix red and green cabbage together.

  • Other ingredients that can be used: celery, garbanzo beans, pinto, black beans, red onion

  • Oils: Olive, Sesame, Camelina

​

Note:

Ingredient list is approximate. Taste and make adjustments to suit your taste.

A very good dish for picnics, box lunches, a side dish for a meal, for people that are housebound or for people on the go.
